Happy Birthday to this Tumblog! One year ago I started this blog, kind of on a whim but mostly because it was a thought that would not leave my mind and I had to get rid of it.

Seven hundred posts later (plus a few), here we are. Many, many thanks to MetaFilter, who inspired me to make this and have been a core following throughout. Thought I would commemorate this occasion with something from PetitPlat, the greatest miniature food artist of our time. As a gift to myself for making it through a whole year, I am taking two weeks off. I’m going away on vacation. Maybe I will find mini things to bring back for you!
