Mandolin-shaped watch from Switzerland, 1830-1835. 2.5 inches.

A book (1 inch) which unfolds into a bracelet. Made of gold, enamel, and diamonds. From the UK, circa 1840.

The bracelet is gorgeous. Perfect for your librarian girlfriend (if you’re super rich, obvs.).

A miniature manuscript on a pendant, from Italy Circa 1550 (the Renaissance).

SOMEONE is leaving paper sculptures in Scottish Libraries and filmhouses. They all have something to do with the author Ian Rankin, and possibly his newest book, Rebus. Above, the four sculptures.
It is a mystery, involving papercraft, books, libraries, and art! I approve. Stories here and here.
