So my roommates and I took this advice last week and ran with it:
“Are you having one of those days? Why don’t you go into your kitchen, take out your toothpicks, and file them into tiny colored pencils. For hours. Hours and hours and hours. Sometimes it’s nice to just focus on things.”
— Edith Zimmerman of The Hairpin, with the wonderful miniature crafts guide, “Tiny Things for Mental Health”
Hours and hours and hours is no joke. We literally did this for a period of days. And the result was a wide assortment of miniature pens, pencils, paintbrushes, markers, crayons, chalk, Sharpies and even a tiny tube of Krazy Glue.
Below are some of our combined efforts. I am so fortunate to live with two incredibly talented people, I should add.
